I’m excited to announce that I will be speaking at the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (PVLA) Fall 2018 Orientation, which is being held on Tuesday, November 12, 2018 at PVLA headquarters in Center City from 8AM-12PM. This event will feature a dynamic panel of volunteer lawyers in the Philadelphia region, all of whom will provide guidance and share insights with others looking to grow their practices and provide pro bono services.
What is PVLA? As described on its website:
A resource for artists, arts, culture + heritage organizations, collectives, makers, inventors, startups and more, PVLA provides pro-bono and low cost legal assistance, educational programs and business counseling to secure a thriving culture in the region and the innovation economy statewide.
We are a premiere group of community-driven lawyers and students at the cutting edge of the creative economy. Connecting legal minds to purpose and passion and a community of driven do-gooders means PVLA not only provides CLE accredited training but also contributes to nearly $2.5 million of pro bono work our business, legal and tech communities deliver each year.
I consider it an honor to represent the local artists & arts organizations that contribute to our regional economy, share their talents & serve the needs of our community members. Whether protecting intellectual property, drafting contracts or trouble-shooting organizational issues, I am always grateful for the opportunity to do such worthwhile pro bono work.
